Tasting Notes

This wine is made from locally grown Marsanne grapes to create a crisp, refreshing wine packed with distinctive Marsanne fruit flavours of lemon, peach and honey. Light to medium bodied with a minerally character and good acid on the finish which provides great structure and ensures it is very food-friendly.

Viticulture Notes

Marsanne is a native of the Côtes du Rhône area in southern France where it is one of the varieties, along with Viognier and Roussanne, in the white wines of the region. Occasionally these white varieties are also included in red wine blends, such as the the common Shiraz Viognier.

Food Matches

Really food-friendly and extremely versatile this wine is a great match for a range of bistro dishes, including char grilled prawns, veal, chicken and a host of Mediterranean dishes. Try it with a salad of seared tuna, roasted tomatoes, green beans and olives or enjoy with tapas-style dishes or antipasto.

Our sophisticated, premium wines have plenty to offer the discerning consumer looking to try something new, yet approachable. Fruit driven with excellent balance and structure, these ready-to-drink styles are wonderful on their own and the perfect partner for a wide range of cuisines.
